Havok4 bug fixes starting with proTEC
Published April 18, 2008 in Development
In case any of you are wondering, yes, we're
perfectly aware that Havok 4 has us gripping our
ankles. We're going to be working feverishly on
fixes in the coming few weeks, and we appreciate
your patience greatly. Please keep in mind that a)
These are not product bugs, they're bugs caused by
Second Life, b) Some of these bugs may clear
themselves up on the server side, and c) We won't
always be able to completely repair things if they
don't.
For the features that can't be fixed due to fatal
bugs caused by recent grid software updates, we'll
be attempting to find suitable replacement
functions. For instance, proTEC will no longer be
able to offer phase, which was crippled by recent
changes in the way sensors are handled, but we're
looking for a decent replacement, and are greatly
improving the movelock function to help take up
slack.
We'll be starting with proTEC, as it's the product most heavily affected by the Havok4 changes. We've got a few new features and we're working on beefing up old ones.
Of course, ALL bug-related updates will ALWAYS be free, and most of these should come automatically the next time you wear your product. Keep an eye on this page or join our group in-world if you wish to be notified that way as well.
