Well, we’ve secured approval for a CCS API. W00t. I’ll keep making normal damage stuff, of course, but RP is fertile soil, and it’s good to be able to make our stuff useful for a wider range of users.
Now, the CCS community is full of embedded content creators, like Breach and Black Ops, so we’ll be finding our place in that community as we go. I’ve no desire to compete with either Breach or Black Ops; they have their genres, and we have a genre that is, generally speaking, all our own. I think we’ll continue to do what we do best: coming up with innovative products that fill niches (whenever possible) that nobody else is busy trying to fill.
This is a good step for us. We’ve generally been viewed in RP community as cheaters, because our weapons typically use sensor tracking bullets, orbit pushes, etc. But you have to remember that I never designed these weapons for roleplay. Rest assured, we have no intention of promoting cheating in roleplay; hell, rules are make roleplay fun.
