
The psiTEC Personal Combat System is a cerebral “psionic” implant that gives you instant, discreet access to some of the most powerful weapons available in SL.
Whether your goal is to rule the field of combat or merely to defend yourself against griefers, psiTEC enables you to do so without loading your hands up with guns and projectile weaponry. With the range of attacks (more can be added) available to psiTEC, there’s no need to carry any other weapon*. And, with our hide/show feature and easy menu access (or simple command system), you can wear this all the time and always have access to your personal defense and favorite items without it getting in the way.
psiTEC can also be integrated with your proTEC shield to provide instant retaliatory options against those who dare to attack you.
ATTACKS
Version 2.0 brings with it the fastest movement available in SL, meaning lightning-fast tracking for those who flee your wrath. All of our default attacks use tracking, non-physical movement, so it cannot be deflected by barriers or physics disruptors.
- KILL - Slicing through shields like butter, this weapon has caused almost instant death through every shield we’ve tested, including the most high-end shielding systems in SL.
- ORBIT - Launch your opponent straight up to the tune of 35-80 MILLION meters*. This amount of force will distort your opponent’s av (no, really - see the pics).
- PULSE - Even stronger than ORBIT, this attack offers the strongest push available in SL, typically launching your enemies so high that SL can no longer calculate altitude.
- DISRUPT - Launch bots, vehicles - nearly any active physical object - off-world. See the look on your opponent’s face (rhetorical) when his $700L attack bot ends up back in his lost and found.
- BLITZ - This attack uses unstable physics to disrupt your target. Because of the nature of this attack, we cannot guarantee results, unfortunately, as they depend on a number of variables, but effects can include death, bizarre relocations, or incredible push, even on push-restricted parcels.
- TRAP - Can’t sit on it to get out. Can’t sit on anything outside of it to get out, either. Our smart trap is one of the most irritating traps in SL.
- BURN - This tracking flame does a constant stream of adjustable damage to your enemy. A popular aubreTEC favorite, Burn has been souped up with a new blazing-fast movement engine.
- SMOKE - This cloud of smoke follows your target, obscuring their vision and making their position constantly apparent.
- IMITATE - Once a popular plug-in, IMITATE now comes included in every psiTEC. This gag allows you to imitate your target by creating an object that allows you to speak using their name.
- TELEPATHY - Want to listen to your far-away friends? Zoom in on a conversation with your camera and hear from afar. Try not to use this to invade privacy, okay?
- TRACE - These creates a tracking stream of particles above your target’s avatar, enabling you to follow their movements without giving away your own position.
- HUNT - Keep yourself out of range while still attacking your enemy with this sim-scouring hunter. This attack will search the entire sim (up to 768m) for your target and BLITZ ‘em long-distance.
- SHOCKWAVE - Need some breathing room in combat? Push & damage everybody in a 20m radius.
- BERSERK - Instantly attack everybody (except your friends) within a 96m radius.
- ADD-ONS - This system is modular, meaning that we’ll be developing additional attacks / functions for this unit that can be purchased seperately and added to your psiTEC with our ridiculously simple auto-install system. MORE FEATURES
Sometimes, mass destruction doesn’t quite fit the mood…
- FIND - Create a stream of particles to your target, so you can find them in a crowded sim.
- INVENTORY - This new feature allows you put your favorite copiable items in your psiTEC, and rez them in front of you on command. We’ve even given you a few handy tools to get you started.
- FRIEND & ENEMY LISTS - Maintain lists of your favorite folks or your worst rivals, for use with BERSERK and the GUARD feature.
- GUARD - Let your psiTEC watch out for folks on your enemy list, and attack them if they get too close.
- SCAN - Get a wealth of information on any avatar in range, including position, velocity, ratings, age, status, locomotion, mass, height (no idea why you’d care about that one), and damage/push/rez/script/flight permissions on the lot they occupy.
COMPREHENSIVE OPERATION
aubreTEC users have come to expect it.
- EASY OPERATION - psiTEC employs both verbal commands and an easy-to-use menu system for all features and settings. Use the provided gesture for even faster access to your psiTEC arsenal
- PARTIAL NAME TARGETING - Because sometimes saying “kill luc” is just easier.**
- CUSTOMIZATION - Set command channels, attack force, effect settings and more through the Options menu.
- COLORIZATION - Use our new colorizer system to make your psiTEC, like, totally match your shoes.
- HIDE and SHOW - So you never have to answer the question, “Dude… what the hell is that thing in your head?”
- UNIQUE COMM SETTINGS - psiTEC uses big channel integers unique to your user - so nobody can try to scan channels to hear what you’re up to, or run disrupting emulators, or accidentally interfere with your system while using their own.
- A-LINK - That’s the boring name we’ve given to the latest version of our networking protocols. psiTEC still integrates with your proTEC Shield, and we plan to use this capability in future aubreTEC products.
- FREE, AUTOMATIC UPDATES - As always, all updates are distributed free and automatically. In fact, now it’s even better; we got tired of SL update mishaps borking our servers, so we made ‘em much more stable.
- LOW-LAG - We did some significant testing, and brought the lag down to negligible levels, so you can feel free to wear all the time. Like numbers? Here’s one: 0.040ms of script time (compared to, say, an animation overrider at 0.057ms).
- PRIM EFFECTS - Our new prim-based effect is way cooler than the old particle one. Of course, if you liked that one you can use that too. Or turn ‘em off altogether for invisible operation.

NOTE
If you have any previous version of psiTEC, you are entitled to this product as a free update. Do NOT purchase it! Go to aubreTEC Labs (EverLite) in-world and use your psiTEC’s “update” button (Menu > Option > Update). An SL update borked our global servers, so you’ll need to go to our HQ and update using the local server. psiTEC II features an all-new, totally re-scripted update system that guarantees this won’t happen again.
